Marketing Strategies

The “marketing strategies” section of this toolkit is designed to give you an overview of the numerous marketing opportunities available for Faculty Directors to promote their program on the ASU campus and online.  


The different marketing strategies have been separated into four main categories: In-person, social media, electronic, and print marketing.  While all four categories are effective for recruiting students, in-person marketing strategies are by far the most successful. Indeed, survey information gathered from past study abroad participants suggests that the most effective recruitment tool for faculty-directed study abroad programming is a motivated and energetic faculty director!

This section also includes strategies to reach ASU Online Students and Non-ASU Students, student populations that may be more difficult to reach but can result in quite a few applications.
